Whether you dream of achieving that full, fluffy eyebrow look, want to create symmetry in uneven brows or tame unruly hairs, brow lamination is the treatment for you. This corrective treatment helps you to achieve your desired position for up to six weeks.
What is brow lamination?
Brow lamination is a two-step eyebrow perming treatment that involves correcting the brow shape by setting the hairs in place using a chemical solution. In the first step, a cream is applied that breaks down the bonds in the eyebrow hairs so they can be manipulated into a new position. In the second step, another cream is applied to rebuild these bonds and set the brows in their new uniform position.
It's perfect if you have unruly, flat or downward growing hairs as the lamination can change the direction of growth to create a more uniform look with a higher arch and a more desirable brow shape. The effects generally last between 4-6 weeks depending on your hair growth cycle.
It's also a great solution if you have thin or sparse brows as the treatment can allow the hairs to be positioned to cover any gaps and give the illusion of big, fluffy brows. Brow lamination is also suitable for clients who have previous microblading and/or semi-permanent tattooing, by resetting the hairs over the tattoo gives them a more natural, textured look.
* a patch test must be carried out at least 48hrs prior to treatment.
To keep your brow lamination looking salon perfect every day, proper care and maintenance is required.
Avoid the use of make-up and facial cleansers around the brow area for the next 24 hours.
Avoid prolonged contact with direct sunlight, the use of sunbeds, saunas, steam-rooms and swimming pools for 24 hours after the procedure.
Avoid exfoliating and anti-ageing products around the brow area for 3 days either side of the treatment.
Avoid using any fake tanning products on the face for 2 to 3 days either side of the treatment. If you do wish to use a fake tanning product on your face, apply a barrier to the hair and small area around the brow prior to tanning to prevent discolouration of your tint.
Remember, your results will be darker and more defined immediately after your treatment.
To maintain the health of your brow hairs it is recommended to use a moisturising serum at least once a day.
You must inform Amaroso Beauty immediately should you experience any swelling, itchy rashes, bruising, skin grazing or cuts after your treatment, so we can advise you on the correct procedure to follow.
